For me that ended today with, of all things, Blood: The Last Vampire. Now ordinarily, a live action remake of an anime about a hybrid human/vampire, who’s spent centuries hunting down blood-hungry demons that disguise themselves as people, doesn’t exactly scream subtext possibilities, right?
